IU Student Reports Rape

(BLOOMINGTON) - An 18-year-old female reported a rape that occurred between midnight Sunday and 3 a.m. Monday.

The incident occurred on the 400 block of North Fess Avenue.

The female was at an off-campus party when she was reportedly sexually assaulted.

IU Police Chief Keith Cash says the male student who reportedly assaulted her has indicated that he believed it was consensual sex.

The rape was reported at 2:36 a.m. Monday. IUPD's investigation into the incident continues.
