(LOOGOOTEE) - A 21-year-old man was arrested after he was acting strange and locked himself in the bathroom at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Loogootee.
When police arrived they found Kyle Lee, of Loogootee armed with a handgun and he had items he had stolen from the store.
According to Martin County Major T.A. Burkhardt, Lee was arrested and charged with theft and possession of a handgun without a permit.
Police were called to the store after an employee called 911 reporting Lee, who was an ex-employee at the auto parts store was acting strange and had locked himself in a bathroom inside the store and had been in there for some time. The employee told police they thought Lee had a gun.
When police arrived they found the employee talking to Lee.
When police questioned Lee about having a gun, he admitted he had a gun and did not have a permit for it. That is also when police discovered Lee had also stolen items from the store.
