(BEDFORD) - Michael Ooley & Sons, of Heltonville, was recognized by the American Angus Association for having three registered Angus cows listed in the association’s 2013 Pathfinder Report.
More than 25,000 people are members of the association.
Of those, 1,992 were represented in the 2013 report, according to Bill Bowman, chief operating officer and director of performance programs of the association.
Superior Angus cows are identified by the Pathfinder program for performance traits that are economically important to produce beef efficiently.
Some traits are early and regular calving and heavy weaning weights, Bowman said.
