(SHOALS) - The Shoals schools campus was put on lock down around 10 am Monday morning after school officials received a report of a weapon in the Shoals School building.
Shoals, Martin County and Indiana State Police responded.
Police say no weapons were found and the lockdown was lifted around 11am.
The lock down initiated by the Shoals Community School Corporation was the result of the accusation of a weapon on campus.
Superintendent Keller, Principal Roush, and the police have concluded that the accusation was unfounded, and no weapon was found after a thorough search of the premises.
"All of our children are safe and were not in danger at any time," Superintendent Keller said.
