Two Greene County Residents Arrested For Dealing Drugs

(GREENE COUNTY) - Two Greene County residents were arrested by the Greene County Drug Task Force on charges of dealing in hydrocodone and marijuana.

60-year-old Billy Schubla, of Linton was arrested Friday night and 57-year-old Janice Cross, of Lyons were arrested early Saturday morning.

Anna Rochelle of the Greene County Daily World reports that Schubla is accused of delivering more than 30 grams of hydrocodone in one deal and marijuana in a second.

Police say he was on his way to make a third deal when he was stopped by police in West Vincennes Street on Linton. Police found about a quarter of a pound of marijuana in the vehicle.

After arrested Schubla police obtained a search warrant and went to Cross' home in the 200 block of Franklin Street in Lyons. There they found multiple pounds of marijuana, digital scales, packaging material, drug paraphernalia and cash.

Schubla appeared in court on Monday and was charged with dealing in a schedule I, II, or III controlled substance and three counts of dealing marijuana.

Cross was charged with two counts of dealing marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school or park; two counts of dealing marijuana; maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.

LPD Det. Sgt. Josh Goodman, the investigating officer, was assisted by members of the Greene County Drug Task Force including officers from Linton, Jasonville and Worthington, and by the Indiana State Police.
