(SEYMOUR) - Two Jackson County residents face felony charges of dealing in controlled substances. Det. Brian Moore with the Seymour Police Department says the arrests were the result of separate investigations.
In one case, 38-year-old Glenda Helton, of Seymour, was arrested at her home in the 700 block of South Carter Street on two counts of dealing in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.
Det. Moore said Helton's arrest stems from two separate incidents in which an undercover officer bought prescription medication from her.
In the other case, 23-year-old Steven Smith of Brownstown was arrested on two preliminary felony counts dealing prescription pain medication.
Det. Moore says he expects additional charges to be filed soon, as he says Smith is accused of dealing pain medications on multiple occasions.
