(BEDFORD) - Brad Bough, the new director of Veterans Services in Lawrence County, is alerting the public and veterans to the Veterans Service new Facebook page at Lawrence County Indiana Veterans Service Office.
On the page is a list of links to VA publications, forms, medical treatment facilities, admission links to the military academies as well as other useful information to veterans.
Bough can be reached at vetnet@lawrencecounty.in.gov or by stopping by the courthouse office Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
He encourages veterans to call at 275-6411 to make an appointment to discuss any claim they believe they are lawfully entitled to.
They also have a link to the Hoosier Women Veterans Registry on the Facebook page or a form can be obtained in our office.
Bough replaced Bill Baker, who served 19 years as director. Bough, a 1979 graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School, served in active duty with both the Air Force and Army as a patrol dog handler and narcotic detection dog handler.
From there he hired on with the Indiana Department of Correction and retired as a captain in 2006. He then served as a subject matter expert with Military Professional Resources, Inc., which included a stint in Afghanistan training, mentoring and advising Afghan National Army officers and soldiers in all aspects of accepted International Standards in Corrections.
