(BEDFORD) - Two new arts groups are meeting in Bedford.
Trudy Dunaway-Brown has started a Writer's Circle and a Folk Song Circle, both of which meet at the Wiley House Art Center, 1402 J St., just a block north of downtown.
Dunaway-Brown invites community members to come and share their writing talents or the talent of someone who inspires you.
Writers's Circle
Writer's Circle will meet at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of each month. She invites participants to bring examples of their writings to share or someone else's work that is meaningful for you. The writing can be prose or poetry, journal entries or a song they have written.
"This is a place to be heard and to inspire each other's creativity," she said.
For more information call, Trudy Dunaway-Brown at 278-6133.
Folk Song Circle
This is a group where musicians, singers and songwriters come to sing and share music.
Participants are encouraged to bring their voices, acoustic instruments and some favorite songs or songs they have written.
This group will meet the second Monday of each month from 7-8:30 p.m.
Call Dunaway-Brown at 278-6133 for more information about either group.
