(MONTGOMERY) - Barr-Reeve Superintendent Travis Madison informed board members that cameras and door security for all three buildings will be operational on Monday.
Due to recent emphasis on school safety following the Newtown shooting, all visitors to the school will have to be buzzed in by school staff during school hours. Madison also said cameras have been placed to cover every angle of the buildings.
Another measure of protection is cameras placed in the high school parking lot. Madison said the Daviess County Sheriff¹s Department will have access to a live feed of the cameras.
A letter is to be sent home to parents.
