(BLOOMINGTON) - On Monday just before 10 pm, troopers with the Bloomington State Police Meth Suppression Team went to a home at 514 West Davis Street, Lot 15 in Bloomington.
When Troopers arrived at the residence they detected a strong chemical odor coming from within.
Troopers spoke with the home owner and were given consent to search the residence. Inside the home, Troopers located an active meth lab including a one pot reaction vessel, HCL generator, sulfuric acid, lye, batteries, and paraphernalia to ingest methamphetamine.
Eric Olmstead, 37, of North Vernon and Amy Young, 42, of Bloomington, were both arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine. It was revealed that Olmstead and Young are boyfriend and girlfriend.
Last month, Troopers of the Bloomington State Police Meth Suppression Team arrested Amy Young for manufacturing methamphetamine on Skyline Drive in Bloomington.
