(NASHVILLE) - All criminal charges filed in 2010 against two loggers accused of indiscriminately cutting trees beyond a designated line have been dismissed.
Fifteen charges against Mark A. Morin of Morin Logging Inc. in Bedford and Robert Hamilton of Hamilton Logging Inc. in Martinsville were dismissed by Brown County Prosecutor Jim Oliver.
The dismissals came more than a year ago and the loggers wanted to get the word out to set the record straight.
Oliver dismissed the charges he says he could not prove the element of "knowingly or intentionally beyond a reasonable doubt."
The loggers were accused of cutting down trees without permission and damaging private property in Brown County.
