(ORLEANS) - This year’s Dogwood Festival Amateur Photo Contest will be on display at the Orleans Christian Church Unity Hall and the entries will be accepted May 1.
Photos need to be dropped off at the Progress Examiner's office. There is a $1 entry fee per photo.
There will be four categories for entrants to choose from - people, animals, nature and miscellaneous. Black and white and color in these categories; and entrants will need to choose in which category they want their photo judged.
All photos must be no smaller than a 5x7 and must be framed or matted. Please limit entries to no more than 3 per person. No professional photographer can enter.
Out-of-town judges will rate the photos based on several attributes.
First and second place will be given in each category, and the People's Choice award will be done by a quarter a vote.
