(DUGGER) - A Dugger man was arrested Saturday on a warrant for misdemeanor battery for a screwdriver stabbing incident in September.
33-year-old Joshua Bohnert is accused of stabbing Raymond Reynolds in the left shoulder blade with a flat-head screwdriver, then kicking the Dugger man in the right eye.
Reynolds suffered a black eye and a wound to his back as a result of the incident.
According to Dugger Town Marshal Dave Heaton, Reynolds was reportedly painting a sign in his garage when Bohnert entered the garage and said "he had been hearing voices in his head." Reynolds told police that the voices in Bohnert heard told him to stab Reynolds.
Reynolds was transported the following day to Sullivan County Community Hospital for treatment.
Bohnert was arrested at 3:25 p.m. on Saturday on the charge, as well as another warrant on a petition to revoke probation on a separate battery charge.
