(UNDATED) - If you or someone you know is trying to get a GED, the exam to do so is about to get more difficult if you don’t pass it this year.
Starting January first of next year, the level of difficulty for the General Education Development exam will go up.
Joe Frank with the Department of Workforce Development says one reason is to align the GED with Common Core standards and will be more rigorous allowing people to move into post secondary training.
The GED exam will also be more expensive starting next year, and Frank says if you don't pass all four parts of the current GED exam by the end of this year, you have to start from scratch in 2014.
