(BEDFORD) - More than 400 people filled the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds Thursday night to hear Governor Mike Pence speak during the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce’s 97th annual dinner.
In addition to remarks by the governor, the crowd heard an update on the growth and expansion at GM Bedford Casting from plant manager Eric Gonzales.
The chamber presented Bedford Federal Savings Bank President Jack Kenworthy with the community service award.
The chamber beautification award was presented to Stone Cutters Café and Roastery, coffee house is between the Lawrence County Museum and Masonic Temple on the north side of the square. The coffee house is owned by Laura Anderson, Ruth De-Well and Kenzie Buetow.
