(MITCHELL) - The Mitchell Public Library will soon offer video games for checkout as part of its collection.
Amber Painter, Adult services librarian, says the library is seeking help through a short survey to tell staffers what games people would like to see. Anyone can take the survey online at http://svy.mk/Zq1D8l or go to the library to fill out the survey.
No late fees
The library now offers e-books that can be downloaded directly to a kindle or home computer, and users don't have to worry about late fees. To check out e-books, grab your library card, go to http://cidc.lib.overdrive.com/ and start browsing. If you have any questions about the service, contact the library at 849-2412.
All day on March 25, 26 and 28 the library will host camp-like activities for elementary-age children.
Get your game on at the library every Tuesday from 3-7 p.m., gather around with friends to play board games, Legos, Story- Cubes, Minecraft, and more. No registration required. Open to all ages.
Engage with the arts at the Homeschool Art Series at 1 p.m. on March 29. Youths in grades K-12 will learn how artists from different periods represented the Easter story, then paint and fold their own Easter bouquets. To register, call the library at 849-2412. This program is made possible by the National Gallery of Art.
