(OOLITIC) - Oolitic and Lawrence County deputies are investigating the break-ins to several vehicle.
According to the Lawrence County Police log, several residents on Walnut Street in Oolitic called police reporting their vehicles had been ransacked and items were missing from their vehicles.
Some of the items taken were change, a GPS, and other small items.
Police say the break-ins happened sometime late Wednesday or early Thursday morning.
In Oolitic, the break-ins accorded along the 700 and 1000 blocks of Walnut Street.
Lawrence County Police are also investigating the break-in to a vehicle in the 900 block of Bud Ikerd Road and the 1300 block of East Oolitic Road.
Anyone with information about the break-ins are asked to call the Lawrence County or Oolitic Police Departments.
Police warn residents to always keep their vehicles locked and to take valuables out of their vehicle, or lock the items in the trunk.
