(ORLEANS) - Investigators from the state fire marshal’s office and other agencies are looking into the cause of a house fire in Orange County Tuesday.
According Bill Fullington, public information officer with the Orange County Sheriff's Department firefighters from Orange County Rural District II and Orleans Volunteer Fire Department were notified about the fire at 10:36 a.m. at a home in the 1500 block of West County Road 700 North, about 1.5 miles west of Orleans.
They asked for additional manpower from the Paoli Fire Department and the Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Firefighters had the blaze under control just before 1 pm,
Fullington says, because of the suspicious nature of the fire, deputies and Orange County Emergency Management Director Rick Emerick and a unit from the State Fire marshal's office were called to the scene.
