(VALLONIA) - Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts can earn part or all of one of their outdoor or forestry badges during a March 23 event at Starve Hollow State Recreation Area in Vallonia.
The event is at 10 a.m. at the Forest Education Center. Space is limited, and scouts must register in advance by calling Starve Hollow SRA at (812) 358-3464 or Jackson-Washington State Forest at (812) 358-2160.
Participants will take part in a winter tree identification hike and other activities. Participants should bring their own lunch and dress for the weather.
