(BLOOMINGTON) - Southern Indiana’s annual Baby Fair, offering resources on everything from pregnancy through the preschool years, will take place from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday at the Bloomington Convention Center.
"The Baby Fair is a fun event that we provide as a resource to families, making it easy for them to connect with the information, products and services they need," said Georg'ann Cattelona, director of area nonprofit Bloomington Area Birth Services, the organization behind the event. Other event sponsors include Southern Indiana Pediatric Dentistry, Osmon Chiropractic Center, Indiana University Health, Super Oldies 105.5 WQRK, WTIU, Midwest Color Printing, Inbloom Photography, Managed Health Services (MHS) and Lamar.
"The fair has been a popular event, and we are very excited to be expanding this year," Cattelona said. "We are adding a second floor with educational seminars, live music, a magic show and a visit from PBS character, the Cat in the Hat. We will also have car seat safety checks for the first time this year as well as more than 50 exhibitors from all over south central Indiana."
Cost is $5 for adults, free for children younger than 12. The first 300 families will receive a free reusable gift bag full of products and coupons related to life with a baby. There will be great door prizes and face-painting for the little ones, as well as pregnant belly painting.
