(ORLEANS) - The funeral home van that was stolen from Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home Thursday was recovered Saturday when funeral home staff members noticed it as they went for breakfast.
Chief Roy McFarland says Lewis Tetrick owner of Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home and a few others went to the annual Lenten breakfast at First Baptist Church in Orleans, and when they pulled into the lot they saw the funeral van parked in the lot.
According to McFarland, it had ben parked there sometime overnight
There was no damage to the vehicle, the chief said, and no one noticed anything missing from it.
Police are investigating the incident. When the investigation is complete, the van will be returned to the funeral home.
