(BEDFORD) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is advising motorists that a new temporary traffic signal will be installed along U.S. 50 in Lawrence County.
Beginning on or after Monday, April 1, Ragle Construction will start a bridge deck overlay project on U.S. 50 over Back Creek, 1.89 miles east of State Road 446.
One lane of the roadway will need to be closed to allow crews to perform work on the bridge.
A signal will be installed at this location to move traffic through the work zone. Motorists should expect minimal delays and lane restrictions.
Project completion is scheduled for September 30, 2013.
INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone. For the latest news and information about INDOT, please visit www.in.gov/indot or www.trafficwise.in.gov .
