(WASHINGTON) - A two car crash west of Washington Tuesday afternoon injured a mother and her one-year old son.
Around 4:30 p.m., Megan Nieves, of Washington was driving a 1999 Chevy Malibu, northbound on County Road 100 West, and pulled into the path of a 2012 Ford F2 Pick-up driven by 44-year-old Dough Sheetz, of Plainville who was westbound on Old U.S. 50.
Sheetz veered right and braked hard to avoid the collision but struck Nieves's car in the front driver's side wheel.
Nieves and her son, one-year-old Javin Nieves, both suffered injuries and were treated by EMS at the scene.
Damage was estimated at up to $10,000.
