(WASHINGTON) - Washington Police and the Daviess County Sheriff’s office are investigating a burned-out vehicle found in the Old Bed of the White River.
On Friday, James DuPont called Washington police to report his car had been stolen. On Sunday, Dupont called police and said he had received a tip that burned-out car was found and he thought it was his
Police found the destroyed car and after a VIN check from the Ford Motor Company determined the car belonged to DuPont.
The incident is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call police.
