(BLOOMFIELD)- Four students suffered minor injuries Friday morning when the Bloomfield School District bus they were riding in ran off of Furnace Road near Shawnee Theatre.
Nick Schneider, of the Greene County Daily World reports, Bloomfield Supt. Dan Sichting issued a press release early Friday evening that stated that the students were transported by their parents to seek medical attention.
None of the injuries were considered serious.
Sichting said the accident occurred when the unnamed bus driver left the roadway and came to rest along the side of the county road during the morning route.
Twenty-two students were on the bus at the time of the incident and another district bus transported the students to school.
"The Bloomfield School District wishes to convey our gratitude to the Greene County Sheriff's Department and the Greene County Emergency Medical technicians on the scene assisting during the accident.
No other information was released about the incident.
