(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington Police Department is investigating a reported armed robbery involving a group of men, one wielding a handgun.
Police were called to the 2400 block of South Broadview Drive at about 11:40 p.m. Monday.
BPD Sgt. Joseph Crider says to boys, ages 17 and 19, told police they were sitting in a garage area behind the residence when three unknown men approached.
One of the men, described as 6 feet tall, thin and having facial hair was carrying a black handgun.
The man reportedly punched the 19-year-old, ordered both victims to the ground and stole the 19-year-old's wallet, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash.
Crider says, a second suspect, described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and average build, had pepper spray. The third suspect, also about 5 feet 8 inches tall and average build, was unarmed.
Crider says, the 19-year-old suffered minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital.
