(BEDFORD) - The Mass Media class at Bedford North Lawrence High School could use your help.
The students elected to make "Pay It Forward" the theme of their advertising project, and they decided on a fundraiser to assist children in the community.
Bob Bridge of the Times-Mail reports that the students designed a nifty T-shirt with "Building a better future" on the front and a Jerry Rice quote on the back that reads: "Do today what others won't, so we can do tomorrow what others can't."
The shirts, $10, go on sale today at BNL and the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County. Following two weeks of sales, the class will host a Field Day on May 13.
"Students will be encouraged to wear their T-shirts in order to participate in the events for free or discounted prices," explained Anita Parsch, who teaches the class. "There will also be free events provided for everyone to facilitate community building among our students.
"During their lunch periods, students will go out to the football field and play many different types of games and activities. Representatives from the Boys and Girls Club will be here to interact with the students.
"At the end of the Field Day, our students will present Kyle Brown, the director of the combined clubs, with a donation check."
Parsch said shirt sales conclude May 17. For more information, contact Parsch at Parscha@nlcs.k12.in.
