(UNDATED) - The Bedford North Lawrence Annual Bike Rally will cruise down 16th Street Friday morning.
Student organizer Lucas Howell, a BNL junior, says students participating should arrive with their bikes in the Tractor Supply parking lot by 7 a.m. Students will leave the lot at 7:10 a.m.
Helping Howell organize the event are seniors Corbin McCullough and Evan Lee.
Howell is hoping for about 150 riders to participate.
This year the rally is a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County.
So far the group has raised about $2,000 from t-shirt sales and donations by local sponsors.
Bedford Police Department will provide a police escort for the students and will block traffic at main intersections as students continue to travel east to Limestone Run Road. Motorists are asked to use caution and yield to the riders.
If it rains the group will ride on April 26.
