(BEDFORD) - The City of Bedford and the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce announce “Clean Sweep Week” from today till April 15th.
The Bedford Sanitation Department will pick up residential items such as old tires, appliances, construction materials, carpet and other items that normally will not be collected.
Extra household trash will also be collected. City residents must call 279-9222 for pick-up. The Chamber also invites the community to help make the city pretty and volunteer to clean-up streets and your neighborhood.
The Chamber will provide trash bags to interested parties who will clean up a designated area within the City.
The City will pick-up trash that volunteers collected. If you, or a group, plan to clean up a designated area, notify the Chamber so that we can keep track of all covered areas.
Shredding & Storage Unlimited has a locked collection tote at the Chamber office where you will be able to drop off your paperwork anytime that week, during Chamber office hours, Monday through Friday from 8 am - 4 pm, and they will shred it on site when they pick it up.
