(UNDATED) - Jason Combs is the new timber management assistant for the Hoosier National Forest.
Combs arrived on the Hoosier last week and has already been out planting American chestnut trees and becoming familiar with his new forest.
Combs is from North Carolina and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management from Western Carolina University.
He comes to the Hoosier from the Nantahala National Forest in North Carolina.
He will work out of the Tell City Office but will assist with timber projects throughout the Hoosier National Forest.
