(ORLEANS) - Longtime Orleans barber Elmo Wolfe has been named the grand marshal for the Orleans Dogwood Festival parade.
The parade is scheduled for May 4, and will begin at noon.
"We are so proud and honored to have Elmo as our parade grand marshal, and hope everyone will come out and help us recognize him on parade day," said Randy Clark, parade chairman.
Robert F. Henderson, Orleans Chamber of Commerce executive director, said, "I don't think we could have made a better choice. ... He has been a fixture of our little hometown and a real community supporter."
