(FRENCH LICK) - A French Lick man was killed after he crashed his vehicle on County Road 100 South Sunday morning.
The accident happened about two miles east of French Lick.
According to Orange County Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer Bill Fullington, Officers were called to the crash scene at 2:53 a.m.
Officers from the Orange County Sheriff's Department, French Lick and West Baden Police rushed to the scene and found 36-year-old William "Chad" Bauer deceased in the driver's seat of his 1996 Chevrolet Blazer.
According to Fullington, Bauer had been traveling east on County Road 100 South when for an unknown reason, he crossed the westbound lane and hit several tress on the north side of the road.
Fullington says the crash is still under investigation.
Also assisting at the scene were first responders from Orange County Rural District I and an IU Health Paoli Hospital ambulance crew.
