(SEYMOUR) - A Seymour couple was arrested after leading Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies on a pursuit in the 3900 block of County Road 700 East in Jackson County.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle after the driver was driving on the wrong side of the road. Speeds reached over 100 miles per hour.
The pursuit ended when the driver 26-year-old Dina Ketcham, of Seymour got the vehicle stuck in a muddy field on the dead end of County Road 700 East.
Ketcham and her passenger, 23-year-old Ismael Ojeda, of Seymour, refused to get out of the vehicle.
When they finally did - Ketcham told police they were "finishing their drinks with a few last minute cheers."
Ketcham was charged with operating while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement and Ojeda was charged with resisting law enforcement.
