(LOOGOOTEE) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is advising motorists to be aware of temporary lane restrictions on U.S. Route 50 in Martin County.
Beginning Wednesday, April 24, crews will be spot paving along U.S. 50 from Loogootee to Shoals.
Crews will mill and pave each area one lane at a time and utilize flag persons to control traffic through the work zones. Work activities are scheduled to take place between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day with all paving operations anticipated to be complete by Friday, May 3. Inclement weather will cancel the work operation for the day.
INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone.
