(BROWNSTOWN) - Thursday morning Indiana State Police Senior Trooper Stephen Wheeles stopped a 1999 Chrysler on I-65 near the 50 mile marker for a traffic violation.
The driver, 35-year-old Roger James Gran,t of Grantsburg, was acting suspicious so troopers asked to search his vehicle.
During that search officers found a pound of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
Grant was arrested without incident and transported to the Jackson County Jail.
While at the jail, a small amount of meth was discovered as Grant attempted to dispose of it inside the jail.
Grant is now facing the following charges:
* Trafficking with an Inmate, Class C felony
*Possession of over 30 grams of Marijuana, Class D felony
* Possession of methamphetamine, Class D felony
* Obstruction of justice, Class D felony
* Possession of paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor
