(BEDFORD) - The Angels of Gabriel Michael Howell Foundation, created to honor the legacy of Gabriel Howell, the Bedford boy who died from cancer in 2010, is currently accepting nominations of a child who will benefit from the 2013 motorcycle ride, slated to depart from Bedford on Sept. 7.
Each year since Howell's death, a ride has been conducted to raise money for the foundation, which directs that money to benefit the families of local youths afflicted by cancer or another life-threatening illness.
Any child, ages newborn to age 17, who suffers from a life-threatening illness, can be nominated. The child must live in Lawrence or the surrounding counties, and the family must be willing to accept the nomination.
To submit a name by April 13, send a Facebook message to Brandy Howell, James Howell or Debbie Templeton. Nominations can also be submitted by private message through the Angels of Gabriel Michael Howell Facebook page, or mailed to James and Brandy Howell, 616 V St., Bedford, IN 47421.
