(BEDFORD) - Seven playhouses will go up for auction Saturday at the Boys & Girl Club of Lawrence County Dream Playhouse Auction and Annual Dinner.
The playhouses are currently on display in the Eastgate Business and Technology Center parking lot on 16th Street. Today the playhouses will be moved to the club's Limestone building on Brian Lane Way.
Playhouse designer/builders were Tri-County Builders, Pritchett Bros., Bedford Fire Department/Local 728, UAW/IBEW/GM, Lineal Contracting, Spring Mill Fraternal Order of Police and Bedford Federal Savings Bank.
Doug Kellams, president of Tri-County Builders and a member of the Boys & Girls Club board says 320 tickets were sold for the dinner. It's not necessary to attend the dinner to attend the auction which will begin at 7:30 pm.
Kyle Brown, the club's new chief professional officer, will address the crowd and all the playhouse builders will be recognized. Jim Sowders, resource development chair, will announce next year's playhouse builders.
