(SALEM) - The Annual Meeting of the Washington County Farmers’ Market will be held on Thursday, April 18, at 6:00 p.m. It will be held in the meeting room at the Washington County Farm Bureau Building in Salem.
Everyone is asked to bring a dish for a pitch-in meal, maybe showcasing one of your own products. Drinks and paper products will be provided. Farmers' Market business will be discussed including plans for this year.
To become a member of the Washington County Farmers' Market or to renew membership, you must sign a contract, pay a membership fee of $20 (payable to Wash. Co. Farmers' Market), and provide a current certificate of insurance. Anyone interested in joining the market may do so at the annual meeting or may stop by the Purdue Extension - Washington County office located on the lower level of the Washington County Government Building.
The Washington County Farmers' Market sets up at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and also on Tuesday evenings when produce is plentiful. The market is scheduled to open on Saturday, April 27th and run through October. Anyone interested in joining the Market is urged to attend the Annual Meeting.
Anyone planning to attend the annual meeting on April 18th should RSVP to the Purdue Extension - Washington County office (883-4601) by Wednesday, April 17th. If calling after office hours, please leave your name and number that will be attending.
