(ORLEANS) - The “Sweet Water Band” and “Pet Monkey” will be among the live entertainment lineup that will be performing during the upcoming Orleans Dogwood Festival.
Sweet Water will take the festival's main street stage right after the Dogwood Parade on Sat., May 4th.
The band plays a wide variety of cover tunes including: Contemporary-New-Traditional Country; Classic Rock; and Old Tyme Rock & Roll.
This group is sure to be a crowd pleaser for any event.
Their diversity and passion for music are as deep as their Southern Indiana roots. Their sound is soothing and fun, so the crowd can enjoy the music as well as a conversation with their friends.
The band consists of Don Clark on Bass, Danny Metzger on Drums, with "Special Guest" Appearances on Steel Guitar and John Guillaume on Lead Guitar and Vocals.
The popular musical group, Pet Monkey Band will entertain Orleans Dogwood Festival goers when they take the main festival stage on Friday night, May 3rd beginning at 7:30 p.m.
From its origins in the summer of 2011, Pet Monkey was pieced together with musician acquaintances of bassist David Webb. Drummer Todd Bessinger and keyboardist Doug Hanscom had recently played with David in a band called "Rodeo Joe", while guitarist Scott Strange had played years ago with Webb in "The Jay Michals Band" Lead guitarist Tyler Parker knew Dave as they grew up and lived in the same area of Monroe County.
When it all came together in Tyler's practice studio, they guys knew what they had and what they could become: a project that could boast tight three and four part harmonies and some scorching solos by both Doug and Tyler. Pet Monkey has been playing to satisfied and enthusiastic crowds throughout central and southern Indiana.
We hope you take the opportunity to see for yourself what all the Monkey mayhem is all about. Get on out to the upcoming Pet Monkey show in downtown Orleans on May 3rd. You can come by yourself... or bring your prime mate.
