(LOOGOOTEE) - In the early morning hours of Thursday Indiana State Trooper Steve Sexton stopped a gray 1994 Toyota after the driver failed to signal a left hand turn at South West First and Sheridan streets in Loogootee.
The driver 35-year-old Rector Worely, of, Indianapolis was operating the car with a suspended driver's license.
During the stop Trooper Sexton located a mason jar containing meth, along with several other items commonly associated with the use and making of the drug.
Worely and his two passengers, 36-year-old Shirley D. Coker, of Loogootee and 38-year-old Tawnya L. Stone, of Loogootee were all arrested and taken to the Martin County Jail.
With the information gathered from the traffic stop, search warrants were applied for and issued for both Coker and Stone's residences. During the search at Stone's apartment at 104 South West 3rd Street, police found meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Stone's child was also at the apartment. Family members were called to take the child..
During the search of Coker's residence at 11679 East North 1st Street, in Alfordsville, police found meth and precursors commonly used in the making of meth.
The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team was called to the scene to render all chemicals safe and to assist with collection of evidence.
Worley was charged with possession of meth, a Class C-felony, dealing meth, a Class C felony, maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony and possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
Coker was charged with these charges from the traffic stop: possession of meth, a Class C-felony, dealing meth, a Class C felony, maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony, possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
These charges were added by Daviess County, after police served the search warrant at her apartment, possession of meth, a Class C felony, possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture meth, a Class B felony, maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony and possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
Stone was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Class C felony, neglect of a dependent, a Class D felony, maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony and possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor
