(JASPER) - Dubois County Sheriff’s Department was advised by an off duty sheriff’s deputy on Monday around 6:30 pm about two male subjects purchasing items from Holiday Foods in Jasper that are used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Deputies along with the assistance of Jasper Police Department made contact with Nicholas Guy and Joseph Earl, both from Loogootee and both 33 years of age.
An Indiana State Police K-9 was called to the scene. The K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
While searching the vehicle, officers found methamphetamine and marijuana packaged for sale.
Both were charged with: dealing methamphetamine, possession of precursors and possession of a controlled substance and dealing marijuana.
Earl was also charged with a visiting a common nuisance while Guy was charged with a maintaining a common nuisance.
The charges were enhanced due to being within 1,000 ft of Bohnert Park. Both males were transported to the Dubois County Security Center.
