(WASHINGTON) - It took Washington Police Officers just a little more than three hours to solve a theft from a George Street home Monday.
At 3:25 p.m. officers went to a home on George Street where two loaded guns were reported stolen.
At 7 p.m. the investigation led officers to a house at 308 Dewey Avenue where they believed they would find the stolen guns.
At the home, police arrested 27-year-old Brian L. Cassidy. Cassidy was charged with two counts of theft, two counts of burglary, two counts of residential entry, one count of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, two counts of possession of stolen property, two counts of possession of a schedule III controlled substance, and one count of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.
Cassidy was taken to the Daviess County Security Center, where he is being held without bond.
