(BEDFORD) - Due to incumbent weather, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) work that was to start on Tuesday will now begin today.
Motorists should be aware of temporary lane restrictions on State Road 37 in Bedford. Beginning today crews will be spot paving along S.R. 37.
Work will begin in the north bound lanes of S.R. 37 at the intersection of U.S. 50 (16th Street).
Crews will mill and pave one lane at a time, always leaving one lane open for traffic. On Friday, crews will then mill the intersection of John Williams Boulevard and S.R. 58 (5th Street).
Crews will maintain one lane open to traffic at all times. Work activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. Inclement weather will cancel the work operation for the day.
INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone.
