(BEDFORD) - A Bedford teen was arrested Wednesday afternoon after Bedford Police received a call reporting a boy had been injured by the girl during a fight.
According to Bedford Assistant Chief Joe DeWees the boy's parent called police around 5 p.m. from a home in the 1400 block of E Street to report their son had been injured during the fight and the fight had been video recorded.
"The fight happened in the 500 block of 15th Street and started after a bunch of name calling," DeWees says. "The fight was video recorded and posted on the Internet, but has since been pulled."
The 14-year-old girl was arrested and charged with battery and strangulation and taken to the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center.
DeWees says the boy suffered minor injuries and was not taken for treatment.
"He complained of pain and had some bruises," DeWees added.
