(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Board Of Works approved the hiring of Jeremiah Brassard to the Bedford Fire Department Monday afternoon.
They also approved the promotions of Captain John Oliver to Battalion Chief; Lieutenant John. Gould to the rank of Captain and Senior Firefighter Bruce Deckard To Lieutenant and Firefighter 1 Class Rusty Key to Senior Firefighter.
The moves were triggered by the retirement of Battalion Chief Kenneth Teague. He will step down June 1 after 35 years with the department.
