(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police are investigating the stabbing of a man early Friday morning on the city’s south side.
Police were called to the 600 block of East Sherwood Hills Drive about 1:50 a.m. Friday to a report of a battery involving a knife. A 29-year-old man told police was stabbed by a 70-year-old man he knows.
The man suffered a puncture wound to his lower back and was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He has been treated and released from the hospital, Bloomington police Sgt. Joe Crider said Friday afternoon.
The two men had been in a physical fight in a parking lot before the stabbing, Crider said.
