(UNDATED) - The Indiana Department of Transportation is trying to give motorists a break on Memorial Day weekend by limiting road restrictions beginning noon Friday until Tuesday morning.
INDOT reports that some closures and restrictions will remain on larger projects that cannot be safely reopened to traffic this weekend. In the Southwest Indiana District of INDOT restrictions that will remain include:
Lawrence County
- U.S. 50 bridge rehabilitation, 1.9 miles east of State Road 446.
Orange County
- U.S. 150 in Prospect, restricted to one lane with traffic signal 1.2 miles west of State Road 56, for bridge replacement.
- U.S. 150, from Prospect to Paoli, restricted to one lane with traffic signal in multiple areas between State Road 56 and State Road 37, for roadway reconstruction and bridge replacements.
