(UNDATED) - The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to close the southbound right lane of Interstate 65 near the 52 mile marker for pavement repairs for several days beginning Sunday night at 9 p.m.
Traffic will be restricted to a single southbound lane - the left lane - for approximately one mile. Message boards are being placed at I-65 locations north of the work site alerting motorists of the lane closure and giving drivers the option of accessing an alternate route at the Taylorsville (Exit 76) and first Seymour (Exit 55) exits.
Officials anticipate reopening the lane to traffic Thursday night, unless inclement weather impacts the timeline for the lane closure.
