(BEDFORD) - The first part of the International Bowhunting Organization’s National Championship Triple Crown will be Friday through May 19 at the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds in Bedford.
It's an event that Bedford's White River Bowhunters has sponsored for 28 years, according to Harold Gregory, a member of the bowhunter group who helps with the national event that had 1,300 participants last year.
Activities at the three-day event are not just for the competitors. There will be archery shoots set up for youth and people with disabilities, as well as vendors showing all types of bows and related equipment.

Target Auction
The White River Bow Hunters Annual Target Auction will be held Saturday May 18 at the Lawrence County Fair Grounds Show Arena. Auctioneer Chad Hager will take bids on approximately 160 animal targets.
