(BROWNSTOWN) - A Jackson County man who told police he slammed his child onto a bed until the child was unconscious during an incident Aug. 12, 2012, received two 15-year prison terms in Jackson Circuit Court.
29-year-old Deontre Robinson, of Seymour was ordered to serve those terms at the same time by Senior Judge Bill Vance during a sentencing hearing.
Vance suspended two years of each sentence after Robinson pleaded guilty to battery resulting in serious bodily injury to a person younger than 14 years of age and neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury. Both are Class B felony charges.
